Lore pages

Game masters write the lore of a world as pages: places, factions, history, rules chapters. Players read the pages meant for them, from the moment each page is revealed.

Write a page

Open World, then Lore, and choose Add. Give the page a title, a text in markdown, a category and the world it belongs to. Two fields decide who reads it:

  • Visible to: game masters only, or players too.
  • Reveal moment: from this moment players may read a page that is visible to players. Set it to now to share the page straight away, or to the evening of the event to open it then. Nobody has to press anything at that moment.

A page can sit under another page with Parent page. Order sets its place among the pages with the same parent.

Read a page

Choose a page in the Lore list, or in the Lore of this world list on a world. The page opens as an article. The sidebar lists the other pages of the same world that you may read.

OpenRegister applies these rules to every way of reading: the list, the article, search and exports. A player who searches for a secret page gets no result, and a campaign export holds only the pages that person may read.

Only game masters write, change and delete pages.
